Gary's South Shore Air Show Twilight Show is your chance to enjoy one of the largest over-water shows in the nation on the beach at sunset with a fireworks finale!
The coming year will mark the 59th of the Thunderbirds existence, dating back to 1953 when the team flew the straight-winged F-84G Thunderjets. For the last 22 years, the squadron has performed in the F-16C Fighting Falcon, the Air Force's premier multi-role fighter aircraft.
The Thunderbirds team is an Air Combat Command unit composed of eight pilots (including six demonstration pilots), four support officers, four civilians and more than 100 enlisted people serving in about 30 Air Force job specialties.
